Our Community

Here at PSPT we feel that it is essential for us as disciples of Jesus to serve our local community.  As such we believe that serving our community is not just something that is done through church sponsored programs but is carried out in the everyday lives of each person.  So we feel that serving our community is usually something as simple as volunteering at a local school, serving as a Big Brother, volunteering at a local foodbank or community aid organization, shoveling a neighbor's driveway or inviting someone for tea.  We encourage everyone to find creative ways to serve their local community in their jobs, schools, neighborhoods and coffee shops.

However, we do also believe that there is value in organized, church sponsored ministries that are designed to serve the needs of Parry Sound.  Chief among these is our His Hands ministry which is designed to meet the practical needs of local groups and individuals.  You can learn more about His Hands in it's featured page on this website.

Our church also partners with local community aid organizations such as the Salvation Army to help with local food distribution to those in need. We also work closely with government agencies and the local Hospital in developing and implementing crisis management plans so that in case of a local disaster or pandemic our church would be a key part of the emergency response.

We feel that all these initiatives are helping PSPT become a place that is full of disciples of Jesus who are serving the town of Parry Sound through their personal actions and commitments and through the multiple church sponsored projects we are involved in, including His Hands.
