What You'll Find Here

Worship          Love         Serve

At PSPT we have a simple purpose: To glorify God by being transformed into the likeness of Jesus through the work of the Holy Spirit.  Or to make the simple even simpler: to become disciples of Jesus.

But having a purpose is not enough.  You can't get to your destination without a plan or map of how to get there.  You can't build a house without a blueprint.  You can't achieve your purpose if you don't have a process.

So at PSPT you will find that while the process of becoming a disciple of Jesus may be life-long, and may require a lot of hard work, patience and grace, we don't necessarily believe that the process has to be complicated.

You see, at PSPT we are committed to journeying together as disciples of Jesus by living life worshiping God, loving one another and serving our local and global community.

What does that mean?  Keep reading to find out.

Worship

At PSPT we believe the first step to becoming a disciple of Jesus is to worship God and though we strongly believe that our whole lives are worship to God, we choose to make corporate worship the focus of our Sunday Morning Worship Gatherings.  At our Worship Gatherings you will find a blended worship environment designed to appeal across generations.  These Gatherings are designed as times of celebration for the whole church community, promoting spiritual growth through a focus on biblical teaching and fellowship.  Our nursery and childcare programs make this a Gathering for the whole family.

Love

At PSPT, we believe the second step to becoming a disciple of Jesus is to develop loving relationship with other people.  So at our church you will find a strong emphasis on loving one another and building relationships with people.  We offer groups and ministries for people from ages 0 - 99 so that no matter your life stage, you can get connected and build lasting, vibrant relationships.  Kids can check out BLAST and Clubhouse, while older kids and young teens are invited to be a part of our iWeb/connect ministries.  Young mom's can attend our Heart of a Tot events, men of all ages can get some exercise at ourMen's Basketball nights and women of all ages can catch up with old friends and make new one's at our monthly Women of Destinyevents.  iLife is designed to bring together people who are looking for something modern and innovative while Yak N Snak is for those older adults who enjoy good food and better friends.  All of these groups and ministries are designed to bring us into deeper relationships with other people, so that our journey of discipleship is not a solitary path, but a pilgrimage in community.

Serve

At PSPT, we believe the final step in becoming a disciple of Jesus is learning to serve others.  As a result, our church is committed to serving our community, both in Parry Sound and around the world.  We believe that as disciples of Jesus we are not called to merely be spectators but that we are to be actively involved in bringing the kingdom of heaven here to earth now.  We encourage each and every person to get involved in a church or community related ministry.  PSPT has a rich tradition of equipping and supporting missionaries around the world but we are also aware of the needs and opportunities within our own community.  His Hand's is our ministry dedicated to bringing the love of Jesus to Parry Sound through meeting the practical needs of our community.

Our hope is when you walk through the doors of our church, what you'll find is the person of Jesus reflected in the worship, love and acts of service you see in the lives of the people you meet here.
